He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Layaou and Jennie Layaou (Decker); and his siblings, John (Jack), Edward, Frank, Jim, Harry, Cliff, Adeline Hess, Isabel Lauritsen, Nancy Russo, Annette Boice, Rosemary Harvey and Margaret Goodwin.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Layaou (Bodnar); his son Glenn (Amy); his grandchildren, Glenn III, Anna Rose and Joseph Layaou (Kate Musto); and his sisters-in-law, Beatrice Wygrala (Dennis) and Joyce Reese. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
