He was predeceased by: his father Robert Cook; his son David James "DJ" Burgess; and his brother Richard Cook. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Cook, Thomas Purcell, Mark Martin and Jennifer Filan; his stepson Shawn Burgess; his sisters, Donna LaBar and Tina Pettis; his grandchildren, Hailey, Bryson, Benson and Myranda; Elva Avery. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care (73 W Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
