The family announces the passing of Robert Thompson (Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania) on September 25, 2026. Robert, born on August 14, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thompson and Edith Thompson; his wife Margaret D Henning; his brother Donald; his sons-in-law, Jeffery Wilkerson and Cliff Layaou; and his daughter Barbara Potuck.
He is survived by: his sister Nancy Swartz; and his children, Chuck Thompson (Jennifer) of New Mexico, Shelby Cayce (David) of Florida, George Henning (Carol), Frank Potuck, Stephen Henning (Tina), Wendy Layaou of Mehoopany and James Henning (Tim) of Harrisburg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Vaughn Cemetery.
