He was predeceased by : his former life partner Jean Wyda; his wife Hilda Moore-Wyda; his parents, John Wyda and Mary Wyda (Partilla); his siblings, Albert Wyda and Pauline Sands; and his stepson Paul Moore.

He is survived by : his daughter Andrea Szabados; and his stepchildren, Keith Moore, Patty Whipple and Holly Karichner. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.

Through this role, he made significant contributions to improving the quality of life for residents of Tunkhannock.
