He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey C. Gardner and Annie C. Gardner (Hilner); his wife Jean Carole Haas of Lewisburg; his son Dennis Gardner; his siblings, Charles Gardner, Frances Wynn, Gladys Laubach and Mildred Dewald; and his daughter-in-law Chrissy Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Kon-Jordan Gardner of Milton, Dorothy Biddle (Chris) of Danville, Deborah Werner (Gerald) of Watsontown and Harvey Gardner of Strawberry Ridge; and his grandchildren, Jesse Ray Gardner (Melissa), Shane Gardner (Marisa), Jeffery Shetler, Chad Werner (Kristie), Ashley Gardner, Annie Biddle (Steven Good), Eiderson Biddle (Emily), Jennifer Werner (Jacob Golomboski), Rae-Ellah Tetreault (Sean), Greta Biddle (Tyler Fern), Elias Biddle, Marah Biddle, Sarah Drick (Kyle) and Sophia Biddle. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
