He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis R. Byers and Anna Evelyn (Foster); his wife Amelia C. Byers; his siblings, Patrick and Bonnie McCormick; and his son John Byers (late Jackie).
He is survived by: his brother Michael; his brother-in-law Peter; his nephew Jeffrey (Barbara); his grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlyn, Courtney and Emilee; and his great grandchildren, Kaisley and Amelia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM and at 12:30 PM at the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church (1840 Ardmore Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15221). Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in memory of Jack.
