It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine K. Garland of Tyrone, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Box (Preston) and William Box; her husband Duane "Jim" Garland; and her sons, Kenneth and Alan Garland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Endress (Mark) of Bellwood and Krista Peles (Bob) of Starford; and her grandchildren, David Endress (Heather), Sheri Noonan (Ricky), Emily Peles, Noah Peles, Leeah Peles, Allison Peles, Christopher Garland (Jennifer), Ryan Garland (Tarrah) and Megan Garland. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Matthews Catholic Church (1105 Cameron Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686). A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Catherine's name can be donated to St. Matthews Catholic Church.
