She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Wertz and Gertrude "Goldie" Wertz (Murtiff); her husband William E. Shaffer Sr.; her children, Denny Michael Jones, Leeann Walters and Abigail Becker; her sons-in-law, David Ammerman and Bob Walters; and her siblings, Shepherd and Bubba.
She is survived by: her children, Roxann Walter (Randal), William Shaffer Jr. (Shauna), Jessica Ammerman and Penny Huss (Paul); her siblings, Larry Wertz and Elaine Sensky; and her daughter-in-law Lori Jones. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
