James Arthur Morrissey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arthur Morrissey (Tyrone, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Winfield and Venus Angeline Morrissey (Parks); and his brothers, Harry and David. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mae Bonsell; his children, Angeline Leeper of Hollidaysburg, Bonnie Fogleman of Tyrone, James Morrissey of Tyrone, Steven Morrissey (Cathy) of Altoona and Ed Morrissey of Tyrone; and his brother Earl Morrissey. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Feller Memorial (817 W 15th St, Tyrone, PA 16686). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to James E Van Zandt Medical Center through the CDCE - Voluntary department.
