He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary F. Ochs (Barnes) and Norman John Ochs. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Ochs (Laura) of Michigan and Marcy Chichester (Joe) of Tyrone, PA; his grandchildren, Evan and Sarah; and his sister Deborah Needham of Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the family to establish a scholarship fund in John's memory and provide fishing equipment to youth.
