He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence John and Margaret Esther Groseclose (Sherman); and his sisters, Jeannette Satterwhite and Judy Kimberling. He is survived by: his children, Joel Wade Groseclose (Bethany Jean), John Albert Groseclose (Tisha Aysel) and Elizabeth Kay Detwiler (Ronald Calvin II); his grandchildren, Zoë, Erin, Joel II, Kaylee, Gabrielle, Marina, Daniel, Loralai, Brooke, MacKenzie, Amelia, Brielle and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Elizabeth, Levi, Jameson, Casen and Logan.
