She was predeceased by: her parents, William Curtis and Marguerite Rinker (Moffit); her husband Charles A. Rhoades Sr.; and her grandchildren, Nicole Smollen and James Cochrane.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Fogliano of Vero Beach, Fla., Charles "Chuck" Allen Rhoades Jr. of Port Orange, Fla. and Connie Jo Boots of Hamden Conn; her grandchildren, Jordan Boots, Kevin "Bo" Rhoades and Tabitha Rhoades; her great grandchildren, Adelyn Smollen and Walden Boots; and her brother William Rinker.
Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to a local Salvation Army of the donor's choice.
