Lloyd C. Prouty Obituary

Lloyd C. PROUTY, 83, of Ulysses, PA, died Friday, September 5, 2025 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.

Born December 7, 1941, in Pike Twp., he was the son of Clarence C. and Bessie L. Knickerbocker Prouty. On February 1, 1963, in Wellsville, NY, he married the former Mary L. Tubbs, who predeceased him on October 18, 2023. He was employed by Larimer & Norton in Galeton for over 45 years. Lloyd was a member of the West Pike Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

Surviving are: a brother, Rev. John (June) Prouty of Ulysses; two sisters, Betty (James) Decker of West Winfield, NY and Jean Larnerd of Berwick; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Prouty of Ulysses and Barbara Prouty of Geneva, NY; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by three brothers, Herman Prouty, James Prouty, and Stanley C. Prouty.

Friends may call at West Pike Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM. Rev. Justin Prouty will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
