Richard G. Sharp Jr. Obituary
Richard G. SHARP, Jr., 76, of Ulysses, PA, died Monday, December 15, 2025 in Sena Kean Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Smethport.
Born September 26, 1949, in Wellsboro, he was the son of Richard G. and Roxie L. Houghtaling Sharp. On January 18, 1970, in Gold, he married Sharon Rose Langan, who predeceased him on July 16, 2022. A Vietnam Veteran, he served honorably with the U.S. Army from November 29, 1969 – December 12, 1975. Dick was employed by Borden's Milk Plant in Wellsboro and Patterson Lumber in Galeton. He was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are: three children, Christopher (Lisa) Sharp of New Florence, Misty (Carl O'Dell) Sharp of Andover, NY, and Richard (Jennie) Sharp of Ulysses; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Patricia (Clayton) Hurd, Jeanetta (Manuel) Hoppe, Sharon (Frank) Seeley, Melvin Sharp, Tina (Donald) Seeley, Noel Sharp, Randy Sharp, and Brian Sharp; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by three brothers, Michael Sharp, Timothy Sharp, and Kevin W. Sharp.
Honoring Dick's wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
