He is survived by: his wife Regina Sloan (Scarton); his brothers, James (Tedd) and Samuel; his children, Jeremy (Danielle), Matthew (Jennifer) and Mary Sloan-Burnett (Iain); his stepchildren, Craig Schuessler and Kim Kavanshansky (Mike); his grandchildren, Gianna, Stephen, Jacob, Alicia, Emma, Marley, Elijah, Callum, Abel and Xavier; and his pets, Finn and Clementine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Uniontown Public Library with designation to the Pennsylvania Room.
