It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna May Abbott of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Tarpley and Gertrude Tarpley (Thomas); her husband David Nolan Abbott, Sr.; and her siblings, Edith Scott, Robert H. Tarpley, Sr., Theodore Tarpley and Simmie Tarpley.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Abbott of Fairchance, PA, David Nolan Abbott, Jr. (Shar) of Pittsburgh, PA, Phillip Abbott of Manassa, VA, Roseanne Abbott of Fairchance, PA and Christine Groncki (Cory) of Pittsburgh, PA; her grandchildren, David Nolan Abbott III, Natasia Shultz, Justin Groncki and Caden Groncki; and her siblings, Betty Mays of Uniontown, PA, Emma Darby of Cleveland, OH, Arnold Tarpley, Sr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Raymond Tarpley of Uniontown, PA, Kenneth Tarpley (June) of Uniontown, PA and Patty Blannon (Jerome) of Jeannette, PA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lantz Funeral Home Inc. (297 E Main St, Uniontown, PA 15401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
