She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert A. Tarpley and Gertrude Tarpley (Thomas); her husband Leo Mays, Sr.; her son Leo Mays, Jr.; and her siblings, Edith Scott, Anna M. Abbott, Robert A. Tarpley, Sr., Theodore Tarpley, Simmie Tarpley and Donald Tarpley.
She is survived by: her son Vincent Mays of Uniontown; her siblings, Emma Darby of Cleveland, OH, Arnold Tarpley, Sr. of Pittsburgh, PA, Raymond Tarpley, Sr. of Uniontown, Kenneth Tarpley (June) of Uniontown and Patty Blannon (Jerome) of Jeannette, PA; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Tarpley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in memory of Betty Mays to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 135 N. Morgantown St., Fairchance, PA 15436.
