He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Gmitter and Sophia Struhalla Homer Gmitter; his siblings, Theresa Gmitter and Thomas Gmitter; and his grandson Richard Homer, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Homer (Christina) and Raymond Homer; his grandchildren, Michael Homer (Rebecca) and Elizabeth Jacinta Homer; his great grandchildren, Andre, Alisyn Homer, Blare and Cleo Adams; and his siblings, Eleanor Balena and Donald Gmitter (Eileen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home (603 N Gallatin Ave Ext, Uniontown, PA 15401). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Jospeh Roman Catholic Church (180 Old Walnut Hill Rd, Uniontown, PA 15401).
