He was predeceased by : his parents, John A. McGettigan and Elizabeth McGettigan; and his siblings, John McGettigan and Ann Basden. He is survived by : his siblings, Michael McGettigan, Eileen McGettigan (Joe), Edward McGettigan, James McGettigan (Tina), Betsy McGettigan (Steve) and Megan Carr (Tim); his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Samantha (Jack), Jacklyn (Chris), Matthew, Jesse and James; his friend Tavern; and also Jax.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Donohue Funeral Home - Upper Darby (8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
