We announce the death of Farida Matin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 73. Farida will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Habash Khan and Bebe Gul Habashkhan; her husband Abdul Matin; her sons, Masood Matin and Ajmail Matin; her granddaughter Delara Bontempo Matin; and her siblings, Tory Habashzada, Susie Claypoole (late Eugene Claypoole), Torpekay Habashzada (Sirous Jamshidi), Abdullah Habashzada, Sedika Kelly, Habibullah Habashzada, Sanja Harper, Rahim Habashzada and Izmirai Habashzada. She was also cherished by her children and granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Logan-Videon Funeral Home (2001 Sproul Rd, Broomall, PA 19008). A prayer was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at the Peter & Paul Cemetery (1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064).
