He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Abbott and Anna M. Abbott; and his sister Nancy Murtha. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mary Abbott; his children, Anne Michele Abbott (Vincent Marano), Joseph T. Abbott (Anja), Barbara Anne Elko and Carole Anne Abbott (Chuck Cahill); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Anna Abbott, Mary Ann, Dennis Elko and Catherine Abbott; and his siblings, Joseph A. Abbott, Rosemary Killion and James Abbott.
