She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Hines and Lillian Briggs Hines; her husband Robert Stevens; and her siblings, Evelyn Crisp, Marlene Sowell, James Hines, Patricia Butler, Lillian Shambourger and Grace Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie L. Carr (William) of Coatesville, PA; her grandson Sheldon "Sputz" Taltoan, Jr. of Dover, PA.; her sisters, Anna Mae Davis of Philadelphia, PA and Gretchen Allen (David) of Delaware; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Hines of North Carolina and Lomax Butler of Philadelphia, PA; and her aunt Bert Hendry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the Olivet United Methodist Church (310 E Chestnut St, Coatesville, PA 19320). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
