He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kent and Helen Snell Kent; his wife Sylvia; his daughter Kelly; and his sisters, Joan Copeland, Grace Sweeney and Mary Kent.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Kent (Carol) and Sheri Hinzman (Don); his grandchildren, Christopher Hinzman (Lauren), Katie Hummel (Jake), Jordan Canavesi (Brooks), Travis Kent (Jenny), Kyle Kent and Breanne Phillips (Marc); his great grandchildren, Max, Macy Hinzman, Caden, Cruz, Lyla Canavesi, Izzy, Killian, Miles Phillips, Emery, Tristan and Tyler Kent; his brother Wesley Kent; and his brother-in-law Roy Roberts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A reception was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Noll Funeral Home, Inc. (333 3rd St, Beaver, PA 15009).
