It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth C. Softa of Waltersburg, Pennsylvania, born in Wyano, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Balchak and Mary Balchak (Lukach); her husband James Softa; her daughters, Jamie Beth and Janet Thomas; and her siblings, Andrew, Michael, Joseph, Steve, Frank, George Balchak, Ann Racioppo and Mary Markovich.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rosemary Watson, Diane Butler (Ralph), Karen Zajac (Thomas), Susan Ungurean (John) and Sandra Connell (William); her grandchildren, Yvonne Marks, Jason Watson, Melissa Norman (Nick), Christina Bell (Ronald), Barry Page (Jennifer), Ariana Ungurean, Liam and Joshua Connell; her great grandchildren, Sydney Heckman (David), Alex Marks, Coby, Bryce Watson, Nicholas, Tyler Norman, Morgan Rivenbark, Jayden and Sophia Page; her great great grandchildren, Stella, Ada Heckman and Ryder Rivenbark; her son-in-law Robert Thomas; and her sister-in-law Carylin Balchak.
