He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustive Goebel and Mabelle Lechner Goebel; his wife Frances J. "Frannie" Mohr Goebel; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Hall. He is survived by: his sons, John O. Goebel Jr. (Rose) of Wampum and James R. Goebel (Jodi) of Wampum; his grandchildren, Casey Jo Goebel of Wampum, Jamie Lynn Goebel of Wampum and Ricky Curry (Kristin) of Edinburg; his great grandchild Olivia Curry; and his siblings, Suzanne Kruger of Wampum, Janice Davis (Bill) of Pulaski, Sally Fitzgerald of Monaca and Charles Goebel (Mary Lou) of Wampum.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Marshall Funeral Home (341 Main St, Wampum, PA 16157). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home (341 Main St, Wampum, PA 16157).
