She was predeceased by: her parents, Gardner G. Beam and Burneda V Beam (Swingle); her husband Alexander "Al" Wilson Harris, III; her son Hayward A Day; and her stepgrandson Vincent August.
She is survived by: her children, Howard Day, Sailor Moore (Robert), Tracie Salmon (Thomas) and Salmon; her stepchildren, Alexander Harris, IV, James Harris (Jennifer) and Charlie Harris (Kathy); and her daughter Shannon Harris-Gaffney. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
