With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John B. Horning of Washington Boro, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, G. Sylvan Horning and Anna Metzler Horning; and his brother-in-law Emanuel Allgyer. He is survived by: his wife Jane Myer Horning; his children, Michael Horning (Ronita), Johanna Rich (Chris) and Peter Horning; his grandchildren, Piper, Leo, Anderson Horning, Blake, Carter and Colin Rich; and his siblings, David Horning (Barbara), Donald Horning (Joyce), Anna Mary Allgyer, Rhoda Denlinger (Gene), James Horning (Jean), Jay Horning (Tammy), Reuben Horning (Gail), Rachel Long (Jerry) and Jennie Copenhaver (Avery).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wheatland Presbyterian Church (1125 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
