With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Matelwich of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 85. As Robert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Matelwich and Genevieve Matelwich; his wife Marian Kudrick Matelwich; his son Robert (Lisa Matelwich); his grandchildren, Andrew Matelwich (Alyssa) and Laura Schubert (Paul); and his great grandchildren, William, Chase and Joanna.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swartz-Givnish Funeral Home (323 Washington Ave, Newtown, PA 18940). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Church of Saint Andrew (81 Swamp Rd, Newtown, PA 18940).
