He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Darlene Varner and Patricia Winters; his uncle James Varner Jr.; his father-in-law Richard Burkhardt; his cousins, Megan Peacock and Darla Koeppelle; and his great-grandparent Grace Baldwin.
He is survived by: his parents, David Winters Sr. (Susan) and Joyce Nickel (Thomas); his wife Brittany Winters; his children, Bently James and Bellamy David; his sister Melissa Headlee (Matthew); his grandparents, Virginia "Gina" Baldwin and David Winters; his uncle Chad Winters (Darlene); and his father-in-law Frank Howard (Melissa). He is also survived by his family, friends.
