He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Mabel Irene Ogburn (Asbury); and his sister Donna Hedrick. He is survived by: his wife Melinda "Linda" Bell; his children, Charles Joseph "Joey" Ogburn II (Nancy) of Hickory, John "Grady" Ogburn (Janine Rihmland) of Canonsburg, Patrick L. Ogburn (Julie) of Chattanooga, TN, Lori Ward (David) of Hickory and Patricia Wolfe (Scott) of Venetia; and his grandchildren, Chase, Andrew, Hannah Ogburn, Natalie, Anthony Rihmland, Adam Ward, Emma, Kiboh Uchida, Wade, Grant, Gabriel, Jamie Ogburn, Mackenzie Seymour, Mikaela Halaja, Jake and Kess Wolfe.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the Hickory Lions Club, for donation specifically to "Leader Dogs for the Blind in memory of Charles Ogburn".
