He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mae Jacobs and John F. Riegel; his wife Gloria Steele; his child Baby Boy Riegel; his siblings, Lester, Guy, Wilmer, Edgar, Paul, James, Eva, Grace, Claude, Russell, Earl, Harold, Robert and Anna; and his sons, Stephen Douglas and Mark Dennis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Riegel-Thompson (George) and Debra Jepson (Chris); his grandson Patrick; his sister Hilda Offutt; and his sister-in-law Shirley Riegel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
