He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Bedilion Wilson and William Arvin Wilson. He is survived by: his sister Sue Porter (Jim); his half-siblings, William Wilson and Nancy Wilks (Hershel); his son Richard (Amy); his grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Ward; his sibling's children, Sheryl Ann Sorrell (Fred), Ella Ivey (Troy), James Porter II (Kendra), Erin Nikle (Josh) and Carrie Ann Moore (Lucas); and his wife Billie Ward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Foundation or the North Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Washington, PA 15301.
