He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Ponder, Sr. and Willie Ponder (William); his former wife Georgia Maria Ponder (Little); his wife Emma Jean Freeman-Ponder; his daughter Lillian Ann Maria Ponder; and his siblings, Roy Ponder and Phyllis Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Doris Anne Marie Ponder of Baldwin, PA and Daniel Ponder, III (Marki) of Montclair, NJ; and his brother Arthur Ponder of Penn Hills, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
