He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Opfer and Elizabeth Morton Opfer; his wife Dorothy Herchelroth; and his brothers, Terry Opfer and Gene Opfer.
He is survived by: his children, David Opfer (Chris) of Houston and Stacey Gesky (Walt); and his grandchildren, DJ Opfer, Ethan Opfer, Ryan Opfer and Dylan Gesky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
