He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Piatt and Mildred Holloway Piatt; and his siblings, Sandy Piatt, Donna Williams and Dennis Piatt.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Mary McCullough of Washington; his children, Sherri Dee Wright of Washington, Matt Piatt (Erin) of Washington and Eddie Piatt (Morgan) of Cleveland, OH; his brother Gerald Piatt, Jr. (Patti) of Avella; his former wife Darlene Headley of Taylorstown; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Piatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
