He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard K. Briggs and Etta Louise McFall Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia "Judy" Briggs; his daughters, Dolly J. Souffrant (Brian) and Susan K. Muller (Lou); his sisters, Sarah McCloud (Robert) and Donna Ketchel (Wallace); his grandchildren, Louis E. Muller, Megan E. Muller (Trystan), Abby R. Souffrant (Luis) and Elio A. Souffrant; and his brother Howard K. "Buddy" Briggs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nichol Funeral Home (1873 E Maiden St, Washington, PA 15301). A burial was held on Friday, April 17th 2026 at 1:30 PM at 3739 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
