He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Van Riper, Jr. and May Amy VanRiper. He is survived by: his wife Reba "Nadine" Bennett; his sons, Nevin G. VanRiper of Washington and Calvin "Scot" VanRiper (Wendy L.) of Washington; his sisters, Joyce Long (late Donald), Barbara Hollenbaugh (late Bryan), Cheryl Mitchell (late Chuck) and Holly Garancosky (George); his grandchildren, Celina VanRiper (Nicole Fischer), Amanda Bland (John), Calvin Scot Van Riper II (Sally), Michael David VanRiper (Marianne), Lindsay Paige VanRiper, Timothy Quinton VanRiper and Joshua Thomas VanRiper (Lily); his great grandchildren, Mikiya, Navon, Gaige, Athena, Braedyn, Parker, Josie, Autumn and Solomon; his son Craig LaRue VanRiper; and his siblings, Louise Botto and William "Bill" VanRiper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
