He was predeceased by: his father Paul F. Shaffer. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn J. Shaffer; his children, Madelyn Shaffer (Maxwell Schroeder) and Michael Shaffer; his sister Carole Trostle; and the mother of his children Trudy Parfitt. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
