She was predeceased by: her daughter Linda S. Ruhl; her parents, Joseph W. Hoke, Sr. and Catherine Hoke (Spangler); and her siblings, Harry Light, Joan Hoke, Elizabeth Blouch, Catherine Wright, Mary Emma Miller, Joseph Hoke, Jr. and Barbara Resh.
She is survived by: her husband Simon W. Ruhl; her daughters, Kathy Ruhl of Laguna Niguel, CA, Karen Ruhl-Grimes (Jon) of Sewickley, PA and Amy Higgins (William) of Washington, PA.; her grandchildren, Brooke West (John Mark Erdelyan), Dylan West, Emma, Sara Ruhl, Maddie Kearney (Andrew), Mason, Sydney Grimes, Luke and Abby Higgins; and her brother Robert Hoke.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William G. Neal Funeral Home (925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Concordia Hospice of Washington (Donnell House), 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301, in gratitude for the loving care they provided Helen in her final days.
