She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Roy Powell and Minnie Louella Johnson Powell of Washington; her brothers, John W. Powell of Claysville and Harold Edward Powell Sr. of Charlotte; and her niece Sandra.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Harold E. Powell Jr. (Linda) of Charlotte, David W. Powell (Darlene) of Claysville, Kathryn "Kay" McCulley (Harold) of West Alexander, Linda Altieri (Robert) of Wayne and Susan M. Powell of Claysville. She is also survived by 32 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
