With sadness, we share the passing of James Albert Garber Sr. of Washington, Pennsylvania. James, born on January 31, 1958, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Thorton Garber and Ida Eva Garber (Schrader); his child Kelley Garber; and his siblings, Mary Lou Spease, Thelma Jenkins, Elsie "Teach" Jenkins, Raymond Garber and William Garber (Hawk).
He is survived by: his children, Timothy D. Garber and Rebecca Garber; his siblings, Glenn Garber and Laurann Garber; his grandchildren, John McCloskey, Clayton Grandon, Kelley Prowitt, Ryan Prowitt and Maddox Garber; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Hatfield, Amelia McCloskey and John Raymond McCloskey IV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes (925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
