James McDonald Obituary
We announce the death of James McDonald of Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 90. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Turner McDonald; his parents, Dorothy Ward Long and Howard Long (Huey); and his siblings, Janice McDonald Nichols, Patricia Burns, Naomi Thomas and Michael Long.
He is survived by: his daughter Judge Traci McDonald-Kemp; his son-in-law Todd Kemp; his granddaughters, Olivia, Ariana and Alexcia Kemp; his great grandchild Kristiona Avery; his brother Gilbert'Pee Wee'Long; his brothers-in-law, Ron (Jackie) and William Davis (Cheryl); his friend Peggy; his niece Rachel; and his brother Doug Farnham. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; extended family; dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Jim's legacy be honored by taking time to know and love someone you may not otherwise meet, and through donations to the 'McDonald Family Cookie Jar Scholarship' Fund at the Washington County Community Foundation (1253 Route 519, P.O. Box 308, Eighty-Four, PA 15330) and/or The Lemoyne Multi-Cultural Community Center (200 N. Forrest Ave., Washington, PA 15301).
