He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Miller and Bessie Meeks Miller; and his siblings, Bruz, Ed, Paul Miller, Opal Pierson and Evelyn Spriggs.

He is survived by: his children, Johnny W. Miller (Amy) of Washington, Jeff E. Miller (Robin) of Washington, Julie A. Miller of Washington and Audrey A. Finney (Dwayne) of Canonsburg; and his grandchildren, Johnny, Nathan, Aaron, Adam Miller, Sammy, Zack, Scotty Morgan, Caitie Morris, Stephanie Domachowski, Jordan Bruckner, Jeffrey Miller, Madison Powell, Courtney, Lexey and Anthony Finney.
