He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scola and Margaret Zulic Scola; his brother John; and his sister-in-law Judy. He is survived by: his wife Kristine Miller Scola; his siblings, David Scola (Vickie) of Mundelein, Eric Scola of Bentleyville and Mary Jane Price of Pittsburgh; and his sister-in-law Nancy Scola of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
