He was predeceased by: his father Edward L. Sterling. He is survived by: his mother Leona H. Hummell; his wife Kimberly Thompson; his children, Brandon Sterling (Kim) of Canonsburg and Alyvia Clise (Michael) of Harmony; his grandchildren, Shane, Caleb, Clise, Trent and Cole Sterling; and his siblings, Dale Sterling (Rhonda) of Mason, OH, Scott Sterling (Sherry) of Fredericktown, Nancy Weller (John) of Claysville and Amy Sterling of Eighty-Four. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Piatt-Barnhill Funeral Home (420 Locust Ave, Washington, PA 15301).
