He was predeceased by: his father Reverend George E. VanRiper; and his brother Craig LaRue VanRiper. He is survived by: his mother Reba "Nadine" VanRiper of Washington; his wife Jacqueline Pettit VanRiper; and his grandchildren, Mikiya VanRiper, Navon VanRiper and Braedyn Rhodes. He is also survived by several step-children, step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
