He was predeceased by: his parents, Pietro Celani and Virginia Aloia Celani. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Skip" Barrett; his children, Michael Celani (Kathleen) of Pittsburgh, Richard A. Celani (Carol) of Cape Coral, FL, Tina Celani of Washington and Jeanine Courtwright (Steve) of Washington; his grandchildren, Matthew Egan (Nina), Michelle Czolba, Nicole Glider (Max), Celina Farabaugh (Jeff), Stephen Courtwright (Amy), Trisha Wright (Jeff), Leah Putnam (Chris) and Alec Celani; and his great grandchildren, Simon, Addie, Andrew, Bradley, Lorenzo, Ashley, Hannah, Peter, Tanner, Ella and Layla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Piatt-Barnhill Funeral Home (420 Locust Ave, Washington, PA 15301).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to either the Brownson House, 1415 Jefferson Ave., Washington, PA 15301, or Da Silva Center for Ebstein's Anomaly, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Floor 3, 4401 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
