He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Barnhart and Dorothy Hewitt Barnhart; his wife Sharon Elliott of Elm Grove; his brothers, William, Jack and Ray; and his grandchild Tori.
He is survived by: his children, Robert D. Barnhart Jr. (Janet) of West Alexandria, Ohio and Mindy L. Allen (Michael) of West Alexander, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Matthew, Chad (Tori), Dylan (Alisha), Brady (Kaley) and Stephanie (Cole); his great grandchildren, Hope, Connor, Bentlee, Camille, Braelynn, Chloe, Briley, Camryn and Kingston; his close friend Patty; and his pet Bree. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
