He is survived by: his children, Robert Johnston Jr. (Andrea), Vicki Lea Stechly (late David Stechly), Donald S. Johnston (Diana) and Lisa M. Chipps (Darren); his grandchildren, Ian Johnston (Megan), Lieutenant Colonel Cassandra Cowher (David), Colin Johnston (Lexus), Justin Stechly (Sara), Jesse Stechly (Sara), Sarah Johnston, Scott Johnston, Alaina Johnston, Easton Chipps and Kylie Chipps; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Johnston, Daniel Cowher, Rebecca Cowher, Jacob Cowher, Koy Johnston, Kowen Johnston, Kopelyn Johnston, Kopper Johnston, Jovie Stechly, Ziva Stechly and Luca Stechly; his sisters, Faye Shevel and Catherine Paolini (Joan); and his sisters-in-law, Janice Johnston and Karen Johnston. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. (336 Wilson Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
