He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bayer and Gertrude Vermillion Bayer; his brothers, Edward Bayer and Richard Bayer; his cousin John Peter Bayer; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Bayer, Allen Bradford and Edward Pallotta.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Mader Bayer; his son Neil Bayer (Traci) of Venetia; his grandchildren, Samantha and Nathan Bayer; his siblings, Robert Bayer (Carol) and Dr. Gertrude Bayer (Carol Haber); and his sisters-in-law, Joretta Bayer Bradford, Rose Pallotta and Barbara Levenson (Lester). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
